We met during Kallie's second week of college (although “met” might be a stretch). It was more of an across-the-room moment, the kind you don’t think much of at the time but end up remembering later. He was quiet and a little shy, keeping to himself while everyone else filled the room with games and noise. Through a mutual connection, he got my number and reached out, and that’s where our story really began. From our very first time hanging out, we quickly became inseparable. Some of our favorite memories were built during long days studying side by side—him patiently helping me through countless hours of some sort of pre-med homework I never wanted to do, and me keeping him company while he played his favorite games. College football Saturdays became our tradition, especially cheering on the Oklahoma Sooners. From him taking me to my very first OU-Texas game, where I didn't know much about the Sooners, to countless weekends spent watching together and me slowly becoming an OU superfan, OU became such a special part of our story. What started as a quiet moment across a room turned into something neither of us could have imagined—and the rest is history.
