Maid of Honor
Kensey first met Tiana through speech and debate at SBU. From teammates to debate partners to roomies and friends, Tiana is an integral part of Kensey's day-to-day life and has been with Kensey and Reed through their whole relationship!
Best Man
Josh and Reed have been best friends ever since Reed moved to Bolivar in elementary school. They went to Polk County Christian School and Bolivar High School together and have remained best friends ever since. (Josh also came with Reed and Kensey on their first unofficial date. We can't get rid of him.)
Bridesmaid
Mica is Kensey's younger sister by two years. Mica has been there through most of Kensey's life, so the two share countless inside jokes and memories together. Kensey prayed for a playmate as a child, so God gave her Mica, who then prayed for the other three Slone kids. We have her to blame. To set the record straight-- she is the one with the bowl hair cut! To quote Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen: "I am the cute one- she's just my sister."
Groomsman
They may not look like they like each other in this picture, but Sam put up with Reed all through high school and for some reason still does now, even though he doesn't have to. They share in their love of Germany and nerdy fantasy series.
Bridesmaid
Noel, Kensey's other little sister, has often been called a "little Kensey." They share in a love for escaping from the rest of the crazy Slone family to whatever nook they can find to cuddle up with a good book. Kensey carried around a picture of Noel's ultrasound before she was born, but unfortunately she lost that picture, otherwise that would be up on this website instead of the time Kensey did her hair for "Seussical."
Groomsman
Reed and Vance met through a mutual friend at SBU. They love talking about theology together, which they now tend to do on Facebook ever since Vance and his wife Julie moved out of Bolivar.
Bridesmaid
Meghan and Kensey have been friends since Meghan transferred to SBU second semester of freshman year. They have been roomies since sophomore year, and Meghan somehow continues to act like she cares when Kensey, Tiana, and others on the debate team talk to her about debate theory. Meghan can best be summed up by the color yellow-- she is optimistic, energetic, and always has a smile on her face.
Groomsman
Austin has also been friends with Reed since high school, and he has been friends with Kensey since her freshman year of college. He loves coffee, writing, and reading, so sometimes Reed and Kensey will stumble upon him in a coffee house after he has told us he's "too busy to hang out." (That's okay Austin- we forgive you!)
Bridesmaid
LeeAnn has known Reed since high school and became friends with Kensey once she and Reed started dating. We have LeeAnn to thank for helping Reed make it through the major moments of our relationship-- LeeAnn helped Reed revamp his dorky wolf shirts with some Ralph Lauren polos the summer before he met Reed, helping him trick Kensey into thinking he was more stylish than he actually is. LeeAnn also helped Reed with what to wear and his hair for the proposal, so Kensey owes her quite a bit!
Usher
The brother of the bride, Christian will also be singing at the wedding. Reed and Kensey are so thankful he is willing to share his wonderful voice with us on our special day, even though it is something that is outside of his normal comfort zone! Christian loves running and fishing-- two things Kensey and Reed don't do, but we support him!
Usher
Noah will also be doing the scripture reading and prayer for the ceremony. He would like to wear a gold suit, however his sister, the bride, told him he probably shouldn't. Noah is a crazy ball of energy and we love him for it-- even if we can't always keep up! He is very kind and has never met a stranger, so if you find yourself awkwardly standing around because you don't know anyone, find Noah and you will be set for the rest of the wedding.
