In 2019 Taylor & Kenny met for the first time helping two of their friends move into their first home; they didn't think much of it. The girls and Taylor had just arrived from a Spring Break girls trip and Kenny pulled up in U-Haul. There was little conversation here and there but God wasn't finished molding them into who He wanted them to be for each other. Fast forward to January 2021, Kenny was considering relocating back to the Metroplex. During this time of wonder he was also curious about who he would walk down the aisle with in his friend's wedding; in typical Kenny fashion he wanted to see a picture of Taylor of course. After seeing her picture, he knew he had to meet her! When he found out Taylor's father is a Head Football Coach, he knew he had a reason to text her. After receiving Taylor's number, Kenny contacted Taylor about getting her father's professional information. However, after she gave him the information, he kept texting her...and he hasn't stopped since! Taylor and Kenny got engaged on August 20th, 2022 under the sweetest gazebo in Grapevine, Tx followed by a surprise engagement dinner with Taylor's friends and family in Richardson, Tx.

In preparation for Kenny's birthday he kept mentioning to Taylor that he wanted to go to a winery in Grapevine, TX for his birthday. A few weeks prior to his birthday, Taylor suggested the Sloan & Williams Winery for an early birthday celebration followed by a dinner with his closest friends. Kenny let Taylor believe she had chosen this winery all on her own. However through various group text messages, Kenny was planning one of the most special days of their lives. On August 20th, Kenny and Taylor arrived at Sloan & Williams. They tried a variety of different wines, enjoyed some good music and bread! Taylor received a text message from her friend saying she saw Kenny's post and was wondering where they were. As the conversation continued, the friend said she was actually down the street on a date. Taylor of course wanted to meet the mysterious man in her life, so after wrapping up, Taylor & Kenny headed that way. When they finally spotted each other, Kenny announced he left his wallet in the bathroom. Unfortunately, this wasn't an unusual occurrence so Taylor didn't think anything of it. Taylor and her friend talked for a while and then started heading back to her friend's car so Kenny could just meet them there. As Taylor and her friend were walking, they turned into this little courtyard area, and there Taylor noticed Kenny standing under the gazebo. Taylor's exact words were "why is he standing over there like that?" Her friend said she didn't know and to go see. In that moment, Taylor saw a framed picture of them on the railing. Her heart began racing faster than she had ever experienced and she realized he was about to propose. Overwhelmed with emotions, Taylor surprisingly didn't cry and was in a moment of complete bliss and shock. Kenny expressed his love for her, reminded her of everything beautiful about their relationship and asked her to be his wife. With no hesitation, Taylor said YES! As they embraced each other, Taylor looked to her left and saw two of her closets friends and now soon to be stepdaughter, Ayianna watching the happiest moment of her life. Now, you may think the story ends there but to Taylor's surprise the night was just beginning. Kenny had pulled off not only the perfect engagement but a surprise engagement dinner as well; just as Taylor had always imagined!
