Big shout out to good ole Yacht Club! Kenny and I met playing board games with our friends. We were friends for a while, and then things started to change with one fateful river trip. Our friends were playing matchmaker pretty hard. Of course, we already liked each other, but having our friends' support was nice. A few weeks later we went on our first date- we went to a taco truck and picked up a 6-pack from a nearby gas station. We hit it off immediately, and we've have been inseparable ever since.
Kenny had Meg fooled for months. They had talked about getting married for a while now, a shocker to no one, but Meg was so antsy waiting for an official proposal. On March 1st, they had a picnic date with their dogs planned at Shelby Farms, and Kenny treated Meg to all of their favorite snacks, wine, and coffee. It was a beautiful day, but honestly, most of their dates were sweet. So it caught Meg on surprise when she saw some stranger taking photos of them. Of course, said stranger turned out to be their friend Sam, and Meg turned around to see Kenny on one knee with the most beautiful ring. Everything was perfect...except maybe for the mustard on Meg's hands. But don't worry, Sam photoshopped that part out of the pictures.
I felt like this page would be incomplete without mentioning our fur babies a little more. Kenny and I met while I was still raising my husky puppy, Piwko (peev-ko). He took a liking to Kenny pretty quickly, and we now joke that he likes his "step dad" more than me. A few years into dating and then living together, we got a text from Kenny's mom about adopting a golden retriever. She was a sweet gal who needed to be rehomed, and obviously we said yes right away. We drove to Ohio that Christmas and picked up our sweet girl, Belvedere. She was so timid when we got her, but she's blossomed into our sweet, li'l brewery dog. And lucky for us, her and Peeves became fast friends. We adore both of our dogs so much, and they've become such big parts of our lives. It meant the world to me that Kenny included them when he proposed, and we plan to have Belvedere be the flower girl at our wedding. Don't worry, she's training hard for the big role and is excited to meet all of you!
