Kenny and Destinee met one night after work through their mutual friend, Katelyn. Initially, they both started speaking to switch shifts at work with each other; but that quickly changed to Kenny working overtime shifts and driving up from Massachusetts on his days off just to see Destinee. After spending hours talking to each other every night after work, they had their first date hiking up Mount Agamenticus--and as they say, the rest was history.

Kenny spent months fake proposing to Destinee--he would get down on one knee and ask her to help with chores around the house! So on the night that Kenny proposed, Destinee thought he was joking. Kenny took Destinee to a nice dinner at the Revolution, and on their walk home he got down on one knee and asked--Destinee thought it was a joke. Kenny ended up asking two more times that night; the last time he asked they were in bed, eating ice cream, watching Chopped, and he pulled out the ring--it was the perfect proposal!
