Like many love stories, ours began through the connection of a wonderful friend (Chimezie). The independent friendships between, Kenny, Mezie and Chuk go way back. Chuk met Mezie in 2010 during their undergraduate studies, while Kenny met him in 2013 during their industrial training. The couple had never met nor heard about each other until 2018 when Chimezie had a genius idea of pairing them up. He figured that Kenny had just arrived Canada and will do with some company. Chuk contacted Kenny via WhatsApp claiming to be her future man...lol. Over time, they talked, laughed and what started as a first date will soon be a blissful union.

Chuk is fond of engaging friends in his escapades and romantic events are no exception. On the 8th of February 2022, Kenny's Valentine gift arrived early. Her beau had arranged for his friend (Moh) to pick her up from the station. As she opened the apartment door, there were roses on the floor and Chuk was on one knee with Bam Bam - a gigantic, cuddly, brown teddy bear with the cutest red nose. With much excitement in his voice and Kenny squeaking in the background, he asked "Will you be Mrs. Leo? (The English translation of his last name & his Zodiac sign)". Kenny said YES! and accepted his impeccable pear-shaped alluring ring.
