Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Bethany Santiago-Meyers and Kenny Williams
We're so excited to share this beautiful city with you! Below you'll find a list of recommendations all around this place we call home. Whether you're looking for action packed activities, relaxing and chill vibes, even indoor vs outdoor, we did our best not to leave any spots out so you can make the most of your trip. There's food and fun for everyone!
Indoor Activities

Indoor Activities

Arcades

Feeling nostalgic? How about an adult play day at any of these indoor arcade and gaming bars. - Dave & Busters - Cidercade - Palace Social - Social Beer Garden

Aquarium

Houston has an AMAZING aquarium. If you decide to go, we recommend having lunch in their Aquarium Restaurant. The food is delicious and the experience is one of a kind.

Bowling

- Main Event - Palace Social - Bowlero - Tomball Bowl - Pinstripe - Bowl & Barrel

Brewery Visits/Tours

There are plenty of awesome breweries all around town. You can schedule a multi-brew tour or just go to the individual locations. One of our favorite spots is Saint Arnold Brewery - the tour and space are very cool and they have an awesome outdoor beer garden with a killer view of the skyline. - Paradigm Brewing - Bearded Fox Brewing Company

Go Karting & More

- Andretti - Track 21 - Speedy's Fast Track - Houston Karting Complex - K1 Speed

Go Line Dancing

Put on your dancing shoes and try out any of these line dancing bars to live out your Footloose dreams. - Neon Boots - Whiskey River - Boondocks

Museums

Houston has its own Museum District full of more than 15 different museums. Our favorites are The Houston Museum of Fine Arts, The Houston Museum of Natural Science, and the Houston Zoo. If you're open for a drive, the NASA Space Center Houston is also an awesome place to spend a day.

Putt Putt

- Shankz Mini Golf & VR - Puttery Houston - Puttshack

Shopping

Hey, it's the bride, and yes, I love to shop. If you're going to go to any mall in Houston, let it be the Houston Galleria. They have every store in the alphabet situated on FOUR FLOORS - they even have an indoor ice skating rink. If you'd like something a little less busy, there's quite a few outlet malls all over as well so you can enjoy the weather and the sales to your heart's content.

Theater and Movies

Like the Museum District, Houston's Theater District is filled with just as much art and culture. Although there won't be any large shows in the play theater, a little birdy told us the Jonas Brothers concert is in town at the Toyota Center October 8th. In lieu of theater shows, there's always a good movie at the box office. We prefer movie theaters with comfortable recliners and snacks like Alamo Draft House or Studio Movie Grill or we'll go to an AMC in a shopping park and make a day of it.

Visit a Gun Range

Because it's Texas.

Yoga/Fitness

It should come as no surprise that we love to be active. Our physical health is so important to us because our bodies allow us to live life to the fullest. When we're looking to be active, here are some things we do: - Take a yoga class a Black Swan Yoga - Take a pilates class - High Intensity Interval Training at 9 Round - Orange Theory / Soul Cycle / Cycle Bar

Outdoor Activities

Outdoor Activities

Baseball

Not into golf but want the same fun atmosphere? Try one of these: - Pitch 25 Beer Park - Home Run Dugout

Beach Day

Spend a day at the beach in Galveston! Hang out at the pier or find a spot along the expansive shoreline of our Third Coast. We recommend packing a cooler with your favorite snacks, drinks, and water to enjoy a day in the sand. Don't forget your sunscreen! Note: If you can swim in Lake Erie, you can swim in the Gulf.

Biking

Whether paved or all-terrain, here's some great bike paths : - George Bush Park Trail - Terry Hershey Park Hike & Bike Trail - Kleb Woods Nature Preserve and Center - Memorial Park Hike & Bike Trail

Farmers Markets/Festivals

One of our favorite things to do over the weekend is visiting one of Houston's many farmers' markets or local festivals. They're always packed with the best food, freshest produce, and most unique items. Visit the Houston Farmers Market - it's one of the best. Or try the Tomball Farmers Market. When it comes to festivals , some of our favorites are taking place the week and weekend of our wedding. The Bayou City Arts Festival and Oktoberfest will be happening while you visit as well as our personal favorite, the TEXAS RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL! Note: Instead of a "Brunch with the Couple" the day after our wedding, we'll be having breakfast at the hotel and spending the rest of the day at the Texas Renaissance Festival. We encourage everyone to consider at least stopping by or spend the day with us before you leave.

Nature Trails

Nature has always played a beautiful role in our love story. When we started dating, our routine included a nature walk every week. Naturally, we found some pretty beautiful spots here too. - The Houston Arboretum and Nature Center - The Buffalo Bayou Park (This is a very large park. Any and all access points will lead you through beautiful views) - Spring Creek Park Loop - The Wilderness Emmaus Loop

Outdoor Movie

There's a number of drive-ins throughout Texas if you'd like to see a show and enjoy the weather. One of the coolest spots we know is the Rooftop Cinema Club in downtown Houston - check it out!

Sand Volleyball

Spike it at these spots for outdoor sand volleyball: - HTX Sports Creek - Sideout VolleyBar - Third Coast Volleyball - Wakefield Crowbar

The Texas Renaissance Festival

Instead of a "Brunch with the Couple" the day after our wedding, we'll be having breakfast at the hotel and spending the rest of the day at the Texas Renaissance Festival. We encourage everyone to consider at least stopping by or spend the day with us before you leave.

Top Golf or Pop Stroke

If you're a golfer, you should already know what Top Golf is. Pop Stroke is a new chain being started by Tiger Woods that combines putt putt with fun, drinks, and food.
