Cheryl is a supportive, smart, fun, nurturing, faith-filled, inspiring, prayer warrior mother who Kennisha absolutely adores.

David has been a God-fearing strong father figure in Kennisha's life since she was born. Brother to Kennisha's Mother, he has stepped in throughout Kennisha's life and always been there when she needed him most. Their uncle-niece bond means the world to them both. Now that Kennisha's loving step-father, Vernon Evans, has passed on, her Uncle David is proudly stepping in to cover her in prayer and to walk her down the aisle to her next chapter with Shakir.

The Life of the Party! Jacqueline is a lawyer by day and dancehall queen by night. Her love of music is only matched by her love of cooking. Jacqueline makes sure Shakir receives all of his favorite dishes when he visits home which is one of the reasons why Shakir loves her so much.

Kennisha and Ashley first met in elementary school in the 3rd grade and quickly became besties. Over the years they have become more like sisters and have shared some of life's most precious moments together. Ashley is smart, funny, charismatic, witty, stylish and so much more. She has always been that voice of reason for Kennisha and their candid convos keep each other grounded. 26 years down and a lifetime of sisterhood to go!

Dominique and Kennisha have been close friends since college. Dominique has always been that funny, loyal, wise, dependable, praying, and fashionable friend to Kennisha since day one. They have been there for each other through a lot of life's good and hard moments and are looking forward to the times they will continue to share. Dominique now lives in Atlanta with her husband and beautiful daughter Ava whom Kennisha loves dearly!

Claudia and Kennisha grew up together as 1st cousins in Jacksonville, FL. They share their love for their tight-knit family as their parents are siblings and often celebrate life's occasions together which keeps them close. Claudia now lives in New Orleans and the two are enjoying bonding as not only cousins but friends as they have become adults.

Stafanie and Kennisha met in college at FAMU and immediately built a forever sisterly bond through their faith, Virgo amazingness (their birthday's are a few days apart), and candid conversations. They both moved to DC after leaving FAMU, have trotted the globe together, and enjoy a shared love for all things Beyonce #BeyHive. Stefanie now lives in new York and they love their girl chats to keep each other up to date on their lives!

Vanessa and Kennisha both went to college at FAMU together, but they wouldn't meet and become friends until Kennisha moved to DC in 2012 through their mutual friend, Stefanie. Vanessa became a big sister who Kennisha looked up to quickly for advice on career, love, and life. Vanessa is funny, protective, a whole encyclopedia on any tea you need, and loves her family and friends deeply! They share a love for Florida, Vanessa's beautiful kids, and they both love to have a good time with friends.

Sakinah and Kennisha met in high school in Psychology class in the 11th grade in Jacksonville, FL. Their friendship grew even more when they attended college together at FAMU where they became each other's support system, traveling partners, comedic relief moments, and so much more. The two built a bond through friendship, family, and time well spent that is sure to keep them in one another's hearts forever.

Amilcar is Shakir's only brother! THE most hilarious person Shakir knows! For Shakir it's 1) Chris Rock, 2) Amilcar Davy and 3) Dave Chappelle! Growing up (AND STILL til this day) big brother has always been there to challenge Shakir and ensure his little brother becomes the man he is destined to be!

Richard aka JIGGA aka Chinka Louse! Shakir’s first cousin. The man responsible for Shakir hanging out with the iconic Reggae/Dancehall dancer, "Bogle". While living in Jamaica, Richard made sure to link his cousin when "going on the road". As a result, Shakir was able to get access to the latest dance moves and fashion trends, which ultimately helped shaped Shakir’s life!

Shakir and Karega are first cousins. Trips to Brooklyn were always memorable thanks to Karega. One time the two of them were challenged to a game of 2-on-2 basketball. The kids they played were talking trash all game and despite the back and forth and numerous non-foul calls, Karega and Shakir proved to be victorious! This memory will always share a special place in Shakir's heart.

Daniel aka Dupes! One of the only cousins that share a love of soccer with Shakir. Although a younger cousin, Daniel has become more of a brother over the years. Daniel's loyalty is unmatched. He's always there when Shakir needs him.
