Our Story

The happy couple

Dan and Jesse first met in the summer of 2016 when the two were starting their collegiate career at Saginaw Valley State University. They became fast friends, spending time supporting each other through studies and tough times. Between concerts, sporting events, class work, and social festivities, Dan and Jesse established a special friendship. At the end of their first year of college, Jesse moved away closer to her family and attended Western Michigan University for the remainder of undergraduate studies. Despite this, the two kept in contact and even managed to visit each other from time to time. Years went by, and it wasn’t until towards the end of their graduate studies that the couple renewed their relationship and began visiting each other more frequently. While Dan lived near Pittsburgh, and Jesse near Indianapolis, Dan would frequently make the 6 hour commute to visit. Through these adventures, their friendship began to blossom into a great love that eventually led to their union together as a couple. In August of 2024, watching a beautiful sunset high up on “Chimney rock” over looking Sedona Arizona, Dan asked Jesse to spend the rest of her life with him. The couple made many “firsts” in the month of August together. Dan and Jesse first met in August, started dating in August, got engaged in August, and now will be bound together as one flesh in August of 2025.
