Hickory Run State Park is a 15,990-acre Pennsylvania state park and the park is spread across the Pocono Mountains. Hickory Run State Park was chosen by the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources and its Bureau of Parks as one of "25 Must-See Pennsylvania State Parks". Some of our favorite trails we have taken are: -Shades of Death (waterfall along trail) -Hawk Falls (waterfall along trail) -Boulder Field: This rocky landscape is a National Natural Landmark and state park natural area. Boulder Field appears striking because of its flatness and the absence of vegetation over the large area of 400 feet by 1,800 feet. Some of the boulders are 26 feet long. You also pass Hickory Run Lake on the way to boulder field if you want to make a pit stop
