What happens in Vegas....

Around the time we met, I was fresh out of the Navy and He was still in the Marine Corps. He had just gotten stationed in Yuma, AZ. We both tried online dating and found each other. We chatted online for a few weeks before deciding to finally meet in person. Kenneth made the 2 hour drive to San Diego,CA and officially have our "First" date. We spent every weekend together until he left the corps and the rest is history...

Valentines day weekend we booked a small getaway to a secluded cabin in desert of Joshua Tree. College finals were in full effect and the feelings were overwhelming and stress was high. The quietness and seclusion were just what we needed. We packed up the dog, our suitcases, the laptop and went on our way. The nights were cold and windy but luckily the cabin had a fire pit. While in the middle of writing up a final paper, we decided to take a break and enjoy some s'mores by the fire. While putting together the S'mores, Kenneth got down on one knee and popped the question in the light of the flickering fire under the stars.
