Welcome to the party

When Kenneth was first introduced to Mersaydeez's Grandmother, of course she had to ask "What are your intentions?" They had already been dating a few years. Without skipping a beat, he nonchalantly said "Oh, I fully intend to propose on the solar eclipse next year." Mersaydeez, being two feet away and in full hearing of this exchange, said nothing, but of course took note. Fast forward to Friday August 18,2017, the countdown had begun. They had both taken a long weekend from work to enjoy the eclipse that coming Monday, but not a word had been spoken about the aforementioned marriage proposal. As she was leaving the office, friends kept saying to her, "this is it, this is the weekend!," but she dare not hope, it was just too spot-on! The weekend flew by, and before they knew, it was Sunday, August 20, 2017, the day before the Eclipse. It was a lazy hangover-Sunday, until Kenneth asked, "Do you want to go for a hike?" After what seemed like the longest drive EVER, they rounded the bend at Cheekwood Farms. Her jaw dropped. Thinking they really were just going hiking, she actually wore gym clothes. They walked around until they came to the stairs by the reflecting pool. They stopped and she pulled off her backpack (yes, she had a backpack, it really was going over her head ya'll) and asked "Do you want some water?" That's when Kenneth pulled a ring box out of absolutely nowhere and said "No, but I want you to be my wife" She ugly-cried and that was that. Chapter 2 of their life together had begun. Now we're so happy to share the start of the next with you all!
