What days should I plan on traveling?

Answer

Whatever travel dates work best for your party! We will be coordinating events for anyone who is in town starting on Thursday, January 2nd. The wedding is on Saturday evening. We will not have anything planned on Sunday, January 5th.

How do I get to/from the airport?

Answer

Do I need to rent a car?

Answer

Aside from the airport, most of the activities and sights to explore are within walking distance or a short taxi/Uber/Lyft/street car ride and a rental car won't be necessary. Our personal favorite mode of transportation in NOLA is by bike. If you choose to rent a car, please check with your hotel on parking accommodations. The wedding venue does not have parking available.

Is there a room block or what part of town should I stay in?

Answer

We have secured room blocks at two hotels in the French Quarter that are located across the street from one another. They are walking distance to many of NOLA's best sights & bites but other neighborhoods are easily accessible by Uber/Lyft or Streetcar if you find someplace else you'd prefer to stay. What time on Saturday should I arrive at the venue?

Answer

Please be there no later than 4:00pm so we may celebrate promptly!

Question

I'm traveling with my kiddos, what can I do about the no children policy at the venue?

Answer

The Elms Mansion does not permit children on the property for private events. If your children are joining you in New Orleans and you need a sitter for Saturday, they do provide assistance with babysitting. Please let us know if you would like babysitting assistance.

Are the events prior to the wedding kid-friendly or should I arrange a sitter for those as well?

Answer

Yes, there are a few pre-wedding day events scheduled and all are completely optional. (More info on Schedule Page) However, each establishment has a different policy for anyone under 21.
