How far is it from the hotel block to Tavern on the Green?

Answer

It's a short 17 minute walk. From the Thompson hotel you'll enter the park through Central Park South on 59th street and walk up the west side until you see Tavern on the Green. Or if you'd like to Uber, taxi, or drive it will take approximately 8 minutes.

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

Given our chosen hotel blocks in close proximity to Tavern on the Green, we will not be providing transportation. Enjoy the short walk through the park or a quick Uber or taxi.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both! Our venue is an outdoor glass enclosed event space, so there will be AC. Hopefully, if the weather is nice, we will opening the sides of the enclosure for fresh air through the ceremony and reception. So please dress accordingly!

What is Tavern on the Green?

Answer

Tavern on the Green (TOTG) is a restaurant on the west side of Central Park on 67th street that is an iconic part of New York history. Adjacent the well known Sheep Meadow in Central Park, Tavern on the Green once was home to sheep that would graze the field in the 1800's. Now home to an iconic restaurant, that has entertained celebrities, politicians, and musicians, TOTG will be home to our ceremony and reception!
