The Public Story- We met during our time at UCONN through mutual friends. The Real & Embarrassing Plot Line- While dating another boy Kate attended a family dinner with his parents. During which said boys mother proudly showed her a carefully curated album of his life's story. While pretending to fein interest and providing fake smiles during the cliche visit, Kate was focusing in on a cute blond boy. Sporting a faux-hawk the boy sat centerfold as co-captain next to her current beau in the university soccer team photos. Oof he was hot! So naturally, she logged on to facebook and began web stalking her current beau's pictures for any that may have Mr. Faux-hawk tagged, thus providing a link to his personal facebook page..... not creepy at all. After about a week of searching, she was successful. Excited about her new findings, Kate consulted her roommates. The girls smartly informed her, that while they agreed he was super cute, she should attempt to meet him like a normal person before admitting to stalker like behavior. Thus through more girlish facebook "research"... cough- stalking, Kate and her roomate's discovered that they had very very close mutual friends. And so, they began powwowing. Random party attendances were planned, many mutual hang outs were arranged. Yet while all of Kens best friends were in attendance (enter best man Kevin Battista & life long friend Kevin Wagner), Ken was no where to be found. After a month of countless attempts and failures of carefully plotted & hopefully natural "cute-meet's", Kate finally gave in. She sent him a private facebook message. Ken's response, "How do I know you?" Kate mortified replied, "You don't but we have mutual friends." Ken being the gentleman that he is took the wheel from there. Now, roughly a decade of love later- we're throwing a party.
