With the expectation of the most beautiful weather, our ceremony and reception will both be held outside! We're going for a garden party vibe. Think polished but comfy - dresses, collared shirts or blouses and a cute pair of pants. You'll definitely want some smart shoes you can stroll (or dance) in the grass with, and since we live in Kentucky you can never go wrong with layers! No need to be super fancy - we're just hoping no one shows up looking like they just rolled out of bed.
We sure hope so! If not, we kindly ask that everyone RSVP as soon as possible, but definitely by September 17th. We've included a tab for it so all you need to do is enter your name and it will pull you and any expected guests up so you can RSVP for everyone!
We believe that we've included any plus ones you may need! Due to the catering and limited amount of space at our beautiful venue, we won't be able to take on more than who is on your invitation/guest RSVP. If you have any questions about this please feel free to reach out to either of us and we'll happily get back with you!
We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before the ceremony begins so you can get parked, find a seat and say all the hellos! If you miss my walk down the aisle I will personally hunt you down and very demurely refrain from planting my size 8.5 somewhere extremely inconvenient. Thank you!
We kindly ask that during the ceremony, your phones stay silenced and tucked away. We have a photographer who will capture every magical moment and she is awesome at her job. She also won't be able to do that job if people are blocking her shots. Let's trust her to work her magic, and we promise to share the images with you guys as soon as we're able to. I don't want to see glowing rectangles, I want to see your beautiful faces. Be present with us!
I'm sorry to say there will not be alcohol at our celebration. We obviously trust you guys but we'd rather just be present in each moment and be able to remember our big day for exactly what it is; the biggest and most important day of our lives to date. It'll just be easier not to have to worry about a kiddo getting grabby hands and going for it, or having to babysit adults on our day. That being said, there absolutely will be a coffee and hot chocolate bar instead!
If there's a song that you have in mind to get you on the dance floor, please send it our way before the big day. The earlier the better. I can't promise everything will make the playlist but we'd love your suggestions!
Absolutely! Our beautiful venue does their own catering so there will be a delicious meal and tea or water to drink along with our coffee and hot chocolate bar. If there are any allergies please let us know ASAP so we can inform the venue.
Everybody that loves us being there is truly the best gift we could hope for. To be surrounded by so many people who care and hope for our success is such a blessing, we are SO fortunate. There's a large gravel parking lot immediately beside the venue with a very short walk to the ceremony and reception location. They should be able to accommodate as many vehicles as we need for 100 guests but to make it easier on them we do ask that you carpool when available!
