Fun fact: Heather and Zack went to the same middle school and high school. During our senior year of high school, a friend invited us to King's Dominion for the Haunt. What was supposed to be a whole group outing became us and one other person. That small- and spooky- environment paved the way for a beautiful romance. Our first date was a month later at a small Christmas themed farm in St. Mary's. We've been together ever since.

Zack suggested that we go on a hike to either Great Falls or Harpers Ferry. Heather chose Harpers Ferry and off we went- with the ring hidden in the backpack. Once we got to the top of Harpers Ferry, Zack offered to take candids of Heather while she looked out at the water and watched the falcons. This was simply a ploy to get the tripod set up. Once it was set up, Zack joined her on the rocks and asked her to marry him. She said yes! Above is minutes after the proposal- shout out to Dimple (a man at the overlook who took our pictures).
