The great COVID-19 pandemic came sweeping into the country, shuttering schools and clean-sweeping shelves of Clorox and toilet paper. Shannon took her grandparents to Bethany Beach in order to safely hunker down together. While playing Rumikub and watching movies about Hollywood-written epidemics was surely entertaining, she was looking to pass more time... and alas her Christian Mingle profile was created. In the meantime, amid scrolling through tons of Christian women, Tyler stumbled upon one profile that he just couldn't stop revisiting. He liked and winked at Shannon's page. Soon enough, he sent a message that ultimately changed everything. The two messaged back-and-forth for a couple weeks, texting around the clock. Shannon was enamored by Tyler's love for Chip and Joanna Gaines, North Carolina, all things farmhouse, and of course, his desire to have five kids. Finally, Tyler asked Shannon on a virtual dinner date and by the existence of this webpage, it is evident that the date went well. One month later, they finally met face-to-face at Shannon's virtual graduation ceremony. Shannon had an interview that morning, and knew Tyler was a keeper when he willingly hung out with her mom, dad, and best friend (Devon) in the living room before even meeting her. Later that evening, the two went for a stroll at Valley Forge park, where the conversation naturally landed on marriage & engagement rings. It didn't take much for them to see "this was it." Devon called Shannon the next day and said "don't get mad, but I told my mom he's the one." And the rest is history.
