How Our Love Started

First Comes Love ( As Told by Cierra)

Varmah and I met at East Carolina University during the fall semester- August 2010. Varmah used to always speak to me every day when I was walking to and from classes. I saw him every day sitting on the wall at West End. After a couple of weeks of speaking to me, he called me over and asked for my name and number. From there, we started having lunch together and studying at the library together. I didn't find out until later that he actually lived in the same residence hall with me; I lived on the 7th floor and he lived on the 2nd floor. We officially started dating on November 5, 2010.

Our Proposal

Then Comes Marriage

The proposal was a bittersweet moment. I had traveled home to visit my biological father who was in hospice. While I was there he passed away on new year's eve. I drove back to Charlotte on New Year's day and Varmah proposed to me on New Year's night. He ran a nice hot bath for me to soak and wind down. Afterwards, he told me he had a surprise for me. (At this point, I'm thinking it's like a late Christmas gift or something). He told me to close my eyes and take a few steps towards him (VJ helped guide me lol). Then he told me to turn around and keep my eyes closed. When he asked me to open my eyes, he was on his knee with a ring. He asked me to marry him and I immediately started crying (didn't even give an answer yet lol). Then he looked at VJ and asked him "Soooo, VJ is that a yes?" and then I finally said yes.
