A must do! This will just be a stop on your way down the West Coast. Your route to and beyond the Cliffs is on what’s known as the “Wild Atlantic Way”, it skirts along the west coast of Ireland. Loads of villages and towns. https://www.wildatlanticway.com/home Our recommendation would be to travel to the Cliffs from Galway (1 hour 32 Mins), then keep going South via this route (https://goo.gl/maps/eEWtGkgiBX62) and pick a village on the way for a night (B&B). Listowel for example (http://www.listowel.ie/) Now you are in real Ireland!!
Very traditional. On the coast. A nice place to chill for a day or two. This is 1 hour 25 mins from Listowel.
2 hours, 10 mins from Kenmare is a small town on the Eastern edge of Waterford. This recommendation is all about a hotel: https://cliffhousehotel.ie/ Great spa. Incredible views. Great food. Nice walks nearby. En route from Kenmare you have various stops you can take including Cobh (the last stop of the Titanic: http://www.titanic.ie/about/rms-titanic-and-cobh), Kinsale, The Blarney Stone, Cork City.
