This special love story began when the new kid showed up to 8th grade with a buzz cut, gold chain and a Chicago accent. All the girls were gossiping, wondering who he would choose to “like” but it didn’t take long until Kennedy received the text from Nick. She soon had to break the news to the rest of the group that he had confessed his crush. Things escalated quickly to their first date to see “Safe Haven” in theaters where they shared their first kiss… ever. Fast forward and the middle school sweethearts took on high school! While the rest of the friend group was navigating drama-filled Friday nights and short-lived flings, Kennedy and Nick always remained strong and steady. From many school dances to Homecoming King & Queen, they were the epitome of young love! These four years laid the groundwork for their next chapter: college. While just a few hundred miles up the California coast, Kennedy and Nick conquered long distance. Thanks to Kennedy’s hours spent on the 101 and at the baseball field, the two never skipped a beat. While living out their separate college dreams, their relationship only grew stronger and the number of years together only grew longer! After graduation, Kennedy and Nick decided to move to LA to start real life together. They found the perfect two-bedroom apartment in Brentwood with plenty of room for a revolving door of visitors, many of whom have been a part of this love story from the start. The two got engaged on the beach in December 2023 and now call their happy place of Manhattan Beach home. Their cute and cozy beach cottage marks their beginning of forever! I have loved watching my best friends find, and grow up with, the love of their lives. From your first kiss to your wedding day, I am so happy to have been by your side through it all! Wedding day can’t come soon enough!! - Megan Tymins, Maid of Honor
