The story of us

Nate and I both attended Gonzaga University for our 4 amazing college years. Freshmen year, 2013, we both moved into Catherine Monica dorm on a hot August day. This is, sadly, not when we first met. We went our whole freshmen year living in the exact same place but our paths never crossed. It wasn't until our Junior year of college, 2015, that we met for the first time. We moved off campus into townhomes on the lovely street of Nora. I lived in the town home right behind Nate with my fabulous roommates (and now bridesmaids!). Little did we know that those little townhomes on Nora would allow us to meet our future spouses...

First date

Flash forward a few months to the end of our Junior year. Our friends had been spending a lot of time together and I began to realize “Hey, I kinda like this Nate kid!”. I thought I would never have a chance with someone like Nate, but I am so glad he took the time to notice me. The summer after our Junior year when we were both back in the Seattle area, he FINALLY asked me out on a date. We went to Triple X burgers and a movie. The movie was truly terrible but I knew he was the right guy when he pretended to like it anyways. Luckily the rest of the date went well as I remember screaming happily with my brother and his best friend when I got home (I didn’t find out until later that Nate had heard us screaming...). Apparently that wasn’t enough to scare him away as we spent that summer getting to know each other and making lasting memories.

💍

When we returned to Gonzaga for our senior year, I was excited to see where the future would take us. On September 10th, 2016 Nate asked me to be his girlfriend (after hours of wasting time trying to study together!) That year at Gonzaga was one of the best years of my entire life! Not only was our relationship with each other growing, but we were beginning our story together with all of our favorite people. I will cherish those times for the rest of my life. After graduation, Nate got a job in Stanwood, WA. I had 4 months of student teaching ahead of me in Spokane. We both knew that long distance wasn’t what we wanted, but we were definitely not going to let that get in the way of our relationship. After 4 long months (and lots of trips back and forth over the pass), Nate landed a job in Spokane! On September 29th, 2018, Nate asked me to marry him in the rose garden at Manito Park after a beautiful day adventuring around Spokane. We couldn’t be more excited to start our married life together and to share this special day with all of our friends and family.
