FAQs

The Wedding Website of Kennedy Jackson and Jacob Dear
Question

When do I need to RSVP by?

Answer

We ask that everyone send in their RSVPs by September 17th, 2026. This is important so that we can provide an accurate headcount for the food required to serve our guests. Even if you are NOT able to join us, we would still greatly appreciate the heads up.

Question

Can I bring a plus one? / Are my kids invited?

Answer

Due to strict capacity limits at our venue, we are unfortunately unable to accommodate all guests and children. We have limited our headcount to those specifically listed on your invitation and the children of our immediate family and closest friends. On the RSVP page of this website you can check the exact names of everyone included in your party. We truly appreciate your understanding.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Cocktail or Semi-Formal Attire is encouraged. We kindly ask guests to dress respectfully for our church ceremony. As for the reception, we want everyone to be comfortable! If that means swapping heels for sneakers or changing into your favorite pair of jeans, go for it! We can't wait to dance the night away with you! BONUS POINTS: Wear your favorite crazy, colorful, or patterned socks! We'd love to see your personality shine through - and they'll make for some great photos and conversation starters.

Question

What time should I arrive at the church?

Answer

We recommend arriving at the church 20-30 minutes before the ceremony begins.

Question

Will the ceremony be a full Catholic Mass?

Answer

Yes! The ceremony will include a Nuptial Mass and will last about an hour.

Question

Will there be assigned seating at the reception?

Answer

No assigned seating! Please choose any open seat you'd like. The tables nearest our sweetheart table will be reserved for our immediate family.

Question

When/what will we be eating?

Answer

When: We plan on dinner being served around 6:30 PM. If you think you'll be hungry after the ceremony, feel free to grab a light bite beforehand. What: Cheese-stuffed shells with marinara, chicken parmesan, penne pasta with alfredo and Tuscan meat sauce, Caesar salad, and dinner rolls.

Question

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

It wouldn't be the Iowa Taproom without a great selection of adult beverages ;) Featuring: a variety of 12 beers on tap, a full liquor bar with cocktails, wine, domestic beers, and champagne available for purchase. Outside alcohol is NOT permitted on the premises at any time.

Question

What time does the reception end?

Answer

Dancing wraps up at 11:00 PM, and the venue closes at midnight.
