Do I need a rental car?

Answer

As we have previously mentioned, renting a car is completely up to you! Since we will be providing transportation to the welcome party and wedding, please do not feel obligated to rent a car. However, if you plan on exploring the beautiful towns of Sicily, the best way to see the island is by car, as Ubers/taxis are not accessible. If you decide not to rent a car, please notify the concierge via email with your flight details prior to your arrival at Palermo Airport to arrange transportation to the resort.

Do you have a hotel room block?

We highly encourage all of our guests to book at Magaggiari Hotel Resort in Cinisi, Palermo. Aside from having transportation provided for our welcome party and wedding day, we invite our guests staying at the resort to join us for a farewell breakfast the morning after the wedding. Magaggiari Hotel Resort is conveniently located close to Cinisi beach, as well as bars & restaurants, which are accessible by foot or by hotel shuttle service.

Do you have a dress code?

Our ceremony and reception is strictly black-tie, with the expectation for men to wear black suits and for women to wear floor-length gowns. Women are not obligated to wear black, instead, we would love to see our ladies dress in color. Ladies, kindly remember to bring a light shawl to cover your shoulders during the church ceremony as courtesy.

What weather can we expect?

Septembers in Sicily are very similar to our Septembers along the East Coast. Expect the weather to be around 80°, with the chance to enjoy days laying out by the beach. Please be sure to pack a light jacket, as temperatures can get a bit chilly at night, as we are along the coast & surrounded by mountains.

What is the currency?

Answer

The Euro is Italy's form of currency, however, all major establishments accept credit cards. If possible, we highly recommend to visit your local bank to exchange some USD to EUR, as it is always appreciated to have smaller change to buy a gelato and to tip your driver.

What travel documents are required?

Answer

Please ensure that your passport is valid and the expiration date must be no later than March 2026. The 6-month passport rule states that your passport must be valid for another six months before you depart for international travel. If you are considering renting a car, please be sure to obtain an international drivers license from your local AAA store.
