Kennedie and Max had been in the same friend group since she moved to Austin in 2021. They went to the same parties and events, usually exchanging a quick “Hi” before going their separate ways. Friends always said they’d be great together, but neither ever made a move. On November 26th, Max posted an Instagram story of himself cooking Beef Wellington, unknowingly Kennedie’s dream dish. She replied saying she couldn’t stop staring at it because it was her dream to try it one day. Yep, she made the first move. He’ll never hear the end of it! A few weeks later, Max replied to Kennedie’s Instagram story at a Lakers vs. Spurs game with “Va Spurs.” She responded, “BOOO Spurs, Go Lakers.” Bold! That was the start. They talked nonstop, long texts, FaceTimes while Kennedie was in Oregon for Christmas. They were excited to see each other as more than just a “Hi” when she got back to Austin. Their first date was at Black Sheep Lodge, where they played a very intense two-hour game of darts. Max won. But really, they both did. ;)
