How we met

05/02/2017

A story of when social media wins. I never usually responded to messages on social media when I did not know the person. However, fate stepped in when Jackson wrote me a message on Facebook. His opening line was “If your personality is as in point as your eyebrows, I need to meet you.” I rolled my eyes and thought how many girls has he used that on. After a few hours a friend of mine at work talked me in to responding. I said something about his muscles. Apparently that did it! Jackson and I quickly bonded over his humor and our love for music. The rest is history!!

How he proposed

02/08/2019

After talking about marriage and casually talking about what type of rings I like, I thought maybe it’s possible he proposes on our romantic trip to Hawaii. I quickly realized it wasn’t going to happen when he acted surprised when I told him I would like him to ask for my mother’s permission to ask me to marry him. Our trip started with me in instacare with strep throat. Jackson was acting weird and I thought he was upset because I didn’t feel well. In an attempt to make our trip better I agreed to a hike. Jackson had done the hike before and he deemed it easy enough for me to do while still recovering from strep throat. Well let me just tell everyone, this hike was not easy. It was in fact the hardest hike I have ever done. We trudged up mud, continuously sliding. Once I thought we were out of the woods the trail kept going and going and going. I cried and cursed at Jack and he silently keeps urging me to continue. After doing nothing short of rock climbing up to the very top, it happened! He proposed. He got down on one knee while I was already crying. He asked me to spend the rest of our lives together. I happily said YES!! The hike down wasn’t so bad 😉

COVID updates

Your safety is so important to us

We know that some of you may be concerned about attending our wedding while still taking COVID precautions. But, your safety is very important to us.  Due to the size and setup of our venue, we can easily stay within social distancing guidelines with our event size. The Governor’s plan within yellow low risk level states “Event size can exceed 50 individuals if organizational oversight can be provided that ensures guidelines are followed.”  We will be able to provide that oversight and allow you to enjoy our day without worrying.  Sanitizing will take place throughout the event and all food will be served within food-service guidelines.

For all the days along the way
