We were very fortunate to be able to be blessed with tickets to The Christmas Light Festival in Natchitoches, LA. Andrew told me on Thursday that he got tickets and we’d be going on Saturday. So Andrew, already having a ring, sneakingly met with my mom and dad that day (Thursday) to ask their permission. That Saturday morning we took off to Natchitoches. We spent that afternoon getting coffee, at the little coffee shop, and shopping around the shops on Front Street. Once it’s dark out we make our way down to the water (Cane River) because we know the fireworks will be starting soon. Once we make it down there we look at all of the Christmas lights shining on the water and just wait for the fireworks. In true Andrew fashion he waits until there’s not a single person around us and gets on one knee asking me to marry him. I never even said like an actual “yes”, it was more like an “of course” when I realized it wasn’t a joke. Shortly after the fireworks start and end the most perfect day of our lives thus far.
