It all started with an surprise impulse trip to Universal Studios, Orlando. I gifted Kat a box of legos that had a special envelope stating Kat’s acceptance to Hogwarts in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando. We were so excited to go, however the trip had to be postponed to later in the year (thanks corona). After months of pending excitement, we were on our wa to the airport when I realized I left the engagement ring at home, making my family turn around so i could grab my “wallet”. It was our first day in the park. We entered the wizarding world and while Kats excitement was through the roof, Im just here thinking “how the hell am I gonna do this?” After enjoying our two days in the park, we made a mutual decision to wake up super early on the 3rd day of our trip so we can beat everyone else to the Hogwarts castle for a formal picture (with no masks on). I felt super relieved to see a security guard standing on the bridge by the castle. I had asked her out loud to take a photo of us, but when i approached her, I politely asked to take a video. I walked back to Kat and made it believe we were taking a picture, until I dropped down on one knee and asked her to be with me forever. Thank god she said yes, because I did NOT have a plan to go with the “no”. The rest of our trip felt like a completely different experience now that we were engaged. I felt utter relief now that I finally popped the question after waiting 7 months, meanwhile Kat was speechless for the rest of the trip. Here we are, 2 years later, having a wedding to celebrate our lives together. We cant wait to celebrate with you all!
