We can’t wait to celebrate our wedding day with you! We kindly ask that you RSVP no later than SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 17, 2022 so we can pass along our final headcount to our awesome wedding vendors. For your convenience, you can RSVP right here on our wedding website quickly & easily! If you’re using your smartphone, just click on the 3 little lines in the top left corner of this website, which gives you a drop down menu of pages, an click on the last option at the bottom that says “RSVP”. If you’re on a computer, simply click on “RSVP” at the top of the page (last one on the right). Once on the RSVP page, enter your name & then click “continue” & follow the prompts to complete. It’s super quick & easy and only takes a minute, much simpler than having to mail back a card! Also, there’s a spot for you to make a song request for our DJ to play during the reception, so fill that in, as well!
Our wedding ceremony & reception will be held at GILSON FARMS in our hometown of Visalia, CA. The venue address is: 12707 AVENUE 271 VISALIA, CA 93277 Take S Mooney Blvd south toward Mooney Grove Park. After passing the Visalia Pkwy intersection, continue south on Mooney to AVE 272 & turn LEFT, which will take you along the north side of Mooney Grove park. Ave 272 will run into ROAD 122 where you’ll turn RIGHT & then make the FIRST LEFT turn onto AVE 271. Head down 271 until you see our signs up on the right side of the road directing you where to turn into our venue.
Our ceremony & reception will both be outdoors in a ranch/farm house backyard setting, so definitely keep that in mind. October is typically a really beautiful time for weather here, locally - without the insane heat of our valley summers but not too cool, either, which is why Fall is is our favorite season & our choice for our outdoor wedding. As we get closer to our wedding date we will update with more specific weather details. As far as the type of attire, we’re thinking wedding/business casual. We aren’t the formal type and we want you to be comfortable & ready to enjoy the evening. FOR THE GUYS: slacks, khakis, or nice jeans with a polo or button up shirt would be great. FOR THE LADIES: any dress, skirt or slacks & top, jumpsuit, etc.. that you love & feel comfortable in works great! We’re having a DJ & dancing at the reception so feel free to choose comfy dancing shoes! And we’d also suggest bringing a sweater or light jacket in case it’s on the cooler side in the evening.
Not really a themed wedding but we are definitely going for a rustic fall vibe. Our primary colors are cabernet/dark burgundy & navy blue with sunflowers.
We strongly recommend that our guests plan to arrive 30 minutes before the start of the ceremony so you’ll have time to get parked, sign our guestbook & find your seats.
If you know us well, you know that we absolutely LOVE kids, especially those of our family & close friends. However, due to space/seating limitations at our venue, unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate all the kiddos at our wedding. However, this makes for a great opportunity for a fun date night for all the moms & dads! While the kiddos spend some fun time with the grandparents or other loving caretaker, you can let your hair down, dust off your dancing shoes & come celebrate our big day with us!
Absolutely! What’s a celebration without some delicious food?! Following the ceremony, appetizers & drinks will be served while the bride & groom take photos with their bridal party & family. A buffet dinner, including pulled pork, rice pilaf, beans, green salad & dinner rolls, will be served at the reception along with sweet tea, lemonade, and water to drink. The venue also includes the Cowboy Cantina where beer, wine & hard seltzers will be available for your enjoyment. Instead of a traditional big wedding cake (we’ll be having a small one for us to cut ceremoniously), we will be having a dessert table with a variety of the bride & groom’s favorite sweet treats for you to enjoy!
We have created wedding registries at a few places that we thought were easy, including Target, Amazon, and Bed Bath & Beyond. You can visit our Registry page here on this website & find links directly to our registries online. We’ll be moving in to our own place after the wedding so we’re starting from scratch setting up our own little home, so anything you think we could use getting started is truly appreciated from the bottom of our hearts. ♥️♥️
𝕆ℍ 📸 𝕊ℕ𝔸ℙ!! Thank you for coming, we have but one plea... Please keep our ceremony camera-free. Though our “I DOs” are 𝕌ℕℙ𝕃𝕌𝔾𝔾𝔼𝔻, our reception is not. Once our ceremony is complete, you’re free to take a shot! We invite you to be fully present with us during our ceremony. Our request is that you kindly silence your cell phone & tuck them (and any cameras) away & just be in the moment with us. We’ve hired 2 amazing photographers to capture all the special moments as we become husband & wife (along with the rest of the night) and we will most definitely be sharing those photos with you! After the completion of the ceremony, you’re free to take photos the rest of the evening & if sharing them on social media, we’d love if you included our hashtag so we can easily see & enjoy them, too! #kennalovesnate
No. Our wedding ceremony & reception will be completely outdoors, not in an enclosed indoor area. We trust that each of our guests can make the health decisions that are best for them & believe that your vaccination status is your personal information that need not be shared to attend our wedding. Masks are not required, but if you’re more comfortable wearing one, you are most welcome to do so. We do appreciate you using common sense and staying home if you’re feeling under the weather, know you’ve been exposed to Covid, or have tested positive.
While we would absolutely LOVE to celebrate our special day with every single one of our family & friends, due to space/seating limitations at our venue, we are unable to accommodate guests not indicated on your invitation.
