We have an unconventional love story, to say the least. I met, and started dating my fiancé when I was fifteen. I was in my sophomore year and infatuated with this boy I met on the internet. He was goofy & fun loving. He was a gentleman. He would open the car door for me & always had to hug me as soon as he walked through the door. It was our first real date to the movies and frozen yogurt that I realized he made my soul happy. We sang old songs for hours driving around because we didn’t want the date to end. We quickly became best friends. & he quickly became who I saw my future to be with. “You’re not going to marry the boy you start dating at fifteen.” “You’re too young to be that serious.” - some of the MANY things we have heard growing up. We ignored it all, because we knew deep down it wasn’t just puppy love. It was a lifetime kind of love. June 2018 - we found out I was pregnant. We absolutely adored each other & knew we would wanted a family together. We were both so excited and hoped to have a little boy. We found out soon after, our wish was granted. New Year’s Eve 2018, he got down on one knee and proposed to me. It was perfect, it was us. He walked me into the hotel room he had decorated for me. Rose petals leading me into the room to the bed, with pictures saying, “Will you marry me?” I quickly read it and turned around saying “are you serious?” Being as nervous as he was he fumbled to get the ring out of his jacket pocket. As he got down on one knee he spoke words that a girl can only dream a man to say to you when you get engaged. After 6 years of loving this man, I got to say yes to marrying my best friend. Jan 2019 - Only one month later we welcomed our first child into the world. Our sweet little boy. To live this life is everything, to have the family that we do is EVERYTHING. Whether you’re fifteen, or fifty, when you meet the love of your life, you will know right away. It’s not just puppy love. It’s a lifetime kind of love.
