The Journey of Love

It all started back in 2015, I met Kenitra while working at WHH. Kenitra became like a best friend to me. She always encouraged me and told me I deserved to be/do more. We probably would see one another on an average of 30 minutes per shift, BUT when we did, it was always “girl talk”. As our friendship grew, we began to discuss relationships. At the time Kenitra wasn’t looking for a relationship. Keith and I are cousins so I’ve know him literally my whole life. Keith has always been a handsome and manner-able young man. His sister Kiara (Pie) and I were as thick as thieves. (We would talk about everything imaginable.) At that time I knew Keith was no longer in a relationship. One day while talking to Pie, I told her I had someone I would like to introduce Keith to. When it was time for me to talk to Keith about the arrangement, I was so nervous! But surprisingly both Kenitra and Keith were okay with it. I exchanged numbers and never asked questions after that. Before I knew it, my cousin was buying her gifts and bringing Gyros to the job!! Lol. Its safe to say they hit it off and now we are #cruisingtoCOY. Thanks to me! -Djara Georges

The proposal was one for the books. Not only did Kenitra not see it coming, but Keith pulled off a SURPRISE Engagement Party with the help of a close-knit group of people. Through this elaborate planning and scheming, Keith somehow kept the ever sleuthing Kenitra at bay. While she thought she was going to a Welcome Party, and almost backed out and didn’t go, she showed up and got the surprise of a lifetime! In she walked to a beautifully decorated location with family and friends there to witness this surprise engagement. She walks in to music playing, with Keith at the end of the room, standing behind a heart with letters saying “Marry Me” spelled out on the floor. Once the chorus hit, Keith got down on one knee and asked the all important question, “Will you marry me?”. After some threats and tears, there was a yes ... And then on to eat, drink, and celebrate with those present to witness this occasion!
