My best friend, my soul sister, and the girl who hears all my trials, my failures, and all of my accomplishments. The one who cheers me on in life and the one I could not imagine getting married without. It almost seems like she was heaven sent, showing up when I needed her the most. She gave me a sister bond that I’ve never experienced with anyone before aside from my blood sister. Her love and compassion for me is so selfless and I have the freedom to express all my true feelings without judgement. Having her in my life has been such a blessing from god and I pray that I have her in my life forever. I need her to continue making me laugh endlessly at silly jokes, or making me cry when we talk about our feelings. She has healed a huge part of my heart over the last few years and I love her to death. Forever my best fwen and sheester like we call each other!

My blood sister and my lifetime best friend. Even though we have an age gap of a few years, life was not fun without my sister. My childhood consisted of being scolded, spoiled, and loved by my her over and over again. I remember wanting an IPOD when I was younger and I knew my parents could never afford it, my sister being who she is, surprised me with an IPOD for having a good report card at school. I came home from school one day, and there it was-- a gift bag waiting for me on my bed! I was beyond grateful. My childhood and my entire life, would not have been as special without her. I will forever be grateful to her for all the times she made me feel the most special. I always knew and felt I was special to my sister, in fact I always wondered how other people could speak so negatively of theirs, when I had such a loving relationship with mine. When I was younger, I knew that my sister would once leave the home first-- I dreaded that moment for years before it became reality. Life without her felt so dull and empty. I still get so emotional to think of the moments I sat in what was our bedroom, by myself, in complete silence. Wishing that her plans would not work out so she could return home. I know, so selfish. But I was missing her so much. Having her be a part of this special moment for me is a blessing I will appreciate forever and it'll be a precious moment engraved in my heart.

My willi. My Willi the one who has been through many stages of life with me. From our college days, to relationships and heartbreaks that have came and gone, to the most happiest moments of my life. When life was hard, he offered me his home, and not just to me, but also my children too and that is who my willi is as a person. Willi has so much love to give and he has the kindest soul to me and everyone around him. I will eternally be grateful for his friendship.

Leo! Leo and I met about 9 years ago in a work setting while working for the same company LOL. While working together, Leo always made it tolerable for me as his presence has always been a positive one. We met, and soon enough we were having work lunches, and we even had a daily morning "podcast" where we spoke our smack. As a result of a work relationship, Leo turned into a very special friend who has celebrated birthdays with me and has always been willing to be a part of any special moment without hesitation. Although we no longer see each other on a daily basis like before, Leo continues to be someone who I enjoy having in my life. He has seen me go through different phases in my life from the good to the bad and I can express gratitude and appreciation for him being by my side during the most important day of our lives!

Jorgie. Our Jorgie. I say “our” because that’s how close of a friend he is to Kenia and I– so much so that she nicknamed him “Jorgie” very shortly after meeting him. He’s the friend that can arrive to our home unannounced and we take zero offense or bother to it because that’s just who he is. Spontaneous, loving, and random!! He comes with zero judgment, and if he jokes about it he’s so unserious! We can always have a messy living room and if jorgie comes by, no problem!! He is also that friend that will hear you out, give you advice, and then make fun of you for it lol. You can also trust Jorge to come for you if you ever need him to, he’s a great partner in crime! regardless of how cliche that sounds. Kenia and I have so much appreciation for him, we love you Jorgie

The bond between Kimberly and Kenia created a bond between us Carlos, because we both ended up with crazy wives HAHA. You have made me realize that I will survive this journey and that I will make it through successfully. lol. But in all seriousness, Carlos is exemplary to me in many aspects of life. Despite being young, he and his wife have achieved so much together and have never left each other’s side, they recently turned 17 years of being together. Kenia and I can only hope to be close to what they have built together individually and in marriage. Even though Carlos can be shy and timid, he can also very well lend a piece of advice when needed and he’s always down to have a good time. Kenia and I are blessed to have such a wonderful couple as friends.

The crazier one of the bunch! If you are ever sad, depressed, or just in a funky mood, Alexis is the type to change that real quick. His uncandid jokes and ability to entertain is quite funny AND quite surprising. Not many have the ability to be the way he is. On many occasions Alexis has shown up for me and our family when we have needed him-- even if that means having to hang out with our boys and buy them snacks LOL. But in all honesty, it's been many years of having him in our lives and I do not see him leaving us any time soon or ever for that matter; he will continue to be an uncle figure to our kids for many more years! When I think of a favorite memory with Alexis– all I can do is feel overwhelmed with all the memories my brain goes through because there has been so many! From the long drives to Vegas with Kenia when it was us 3 24/7, to him helping us move into our first home together, or when he helped me plan Kenia’s first ever surprise party…. or when he helped me with the proposal… I also think of the countless nights he spent on our couch just because Lol. Alexis has seen Kenia and I grow so much and has been a part of so many moments, we couldn’t imagine him not being present to witness us reach our biggest goal of them all!
