What if I can't make it to the ceremony, can I come to the reception and dinner?

Answer

Yes, please come and meet us over at The Prado for drinks and dinner.

What is the dress code for the event?

Answer

The event is semi-formal meaning you should plan to wear a suit/dress pants +shirt or blouse+skirt or dress.

Are vegetarian meals available?

Answer

Yes, the chefs at The Prado have prepared a special meal for those would do not eat meat or prefer a vegetarian option for the evening.

Do I have to select what I plan to eat in advance?

Answer

Yes, we need to know what you would like to eat so that the kitchen staff can prepare in advance and shop for the correct items.

How do I get to the wedding if I do not have a ride or car?

Answer

Services like Uber or Lyft can pick you up anywhere in the city and bring you to Balboa Park ... once you arrive at the park you can easily walk to the venue. To use Uber or Lyft download the App on your cell phone and follow the instructions and once it is on your phone you can start requesting to get picked-up and sometimes the first ride is free.

Do I have to bring a gift?

Answer

No, you do not have to bring a gift. Michael and I feel blessed to have such great friends and family and prefer seeing you more that receiving a gift.

Will photos of the wedding be posted on Facebook or Instagram?

Answer

Yes, we will post the photos of the wedding on Facebook, Instagram and this website.

Is there a registry that I can refer to if I do want to purchase a gift?

Answer

Yes, please refer to the registry link on the website to see our registry.

What time does the wedding start?

Answer

The Ceremony starts at 4 pm, then the Cocktail Reception 5 pm and Dinner starts at 6 pm.

When is my final RSVP Due?

Answer

We need your final RSVP response by no later than Friday, August 14th so that we can make sure to have your food order into the chefs and to our wedding coordinator. Thank you for understanding.

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

You are able to bring a guest if your invite says "And Guest". If you do plan to bring someone as a guest please give us the name of your guest by Friday, August 3, 2018 so that we can place them at the same table with you. If you already know that you do not plan to bring a guest, please let us know as soon as possible but, no later than Friday, August 3, 2018 so that we can utilize their seat for any additional guests we were originally unable to accommodate.

I have never been to San Diego,California, what is the weather like?

Answer

The weather in San Diego around September is usually warm during the day (high 70's and 80's Fahrenheit ). The night time can get to be a little cool so a little sweater or jacket is always a good idea to pack.

Do I need to bring my invite to the wedding?

Answer

You can bring your invite to make checking you in easier but, it is not necessary since we should have all your information on our guest check-in list.

Where can I park?

Answer

There are over 3,300 free park spaces serving Balboa Park. The Prado where the reception is being held is in the center of the park so we suggest you park close to the center of the park as possible but, everything is within walking distance so you will be fine in any of the spaces.

What if an emergency happens and I can no longer attend?

Answer

Please let us know by phone or email that you are no longer able to attend. Thank you!

Do you have a hotel room block?

Answer

No. We have decided against having a hotel room block due to the fact that we could not determine what area of the city everyone would like most since there are a number of things to do in every area of San Diego.
