I met Kenny for the first time at a party in December 2013, he approached me, we talked and I thought he was really sweet and afterwards he took my number and we made plans to see each other the following day. Unfortunately, we didn't see much of each other before the holiday was over as I had to go back to school. We talked a number of times during that year but I simply wasn't invested then because he stayed abroad and I wasn't interested in a long distance relationship. A year later, Kenny invited me to his party which I attended, we reconnected and I guess you can say the rest is history as neither of us had any reservations at this point. I guess you wouldn't call it love at first or second sight but it was like a light came on and we "saw" each other clearly for the first time. I saw my future and as it turns out he saw his too and for that I am eternally grateful. I remember that year after the party, my flight home kept getting cancelled which led to Kenny and I spending more time together. Now that I look back at it, it must have been part of God's plans for us else we would not be where we are now. God knows we've faced our share of difficulties, the toughest being the distance between us but the fact that we got through all of that reassures me that we will continue to persevere. Kenny my baby, my soulmate, my amazing amazing love. I know I could be the most difficult of women. I'm headstrong, opinionated and I like to have my own way too damn much but i promise to love you for as long as we live. I believe in you, the person you will grow to be and the couple we will be together. With my whole heart I take you as my husband, acknowledging and accepting your faults and strengths as you do mine. I promise to be faithful and supportive and to always make our family's love and happiness my priority. I will dream with you, celebrate with you and walk beside you through whatever our lives may bring. You are my person, my love and my life, today and always.
