We're Married! Let's Party!

Tristan and Kendra met after they both joined the Colorado Air National Guard in 2019. In June of 2019, after Kendra had been fawning after Tristan for a few months, Tristan asked her out to dinner. But that is as far as it went. Depending on who you ask, they will both say the other never called them again, this is still a mystery... Months later they reconnected while they were both going through Aircraft Maintenance training at Sheppard Air Force Base in Texas. Eating chow together, swing dancing by static display airplanes (cute right!), and studying together. In the summer of 2020, they made it official. Once they were both back in Colorado, they started working weekends on Buckley Air Force Base, attending college, working full time at other places, and spending as much time together as possible while living an hour away from each other. Perfect conditions for a new relationship! They soon decided the distance was too inconvenient and moved in together (sorry mom). They moved to a cute house in Lafayette CO where they lived for 4 wonderful years! During those four years they shared vacations, holidays, one deployment to Saudi Arabia, Kendra dropping out of college, Tristan graduating college, one cat from the animal shelter named Finch, another cat stolen from a friends farm named Carmy, Kendra starting full time on Buckley, Tristan crushing it managing a bar in Boulder, Kendra going on various trips with the Guard, Tristan retraining out of maintenance and into medical, tons of ski trips and a fun, loving, growing relationship. In March of 2025, they decided they wanted to buy a house, and after finding the perfect one they (mostly Tristan) did all the paperwork, signed the contract, and were finally homeowners. Two days later, when Tristan and Kendra were on a ski trip with Tristan's parents, they took the chair lift up to the highest run on Keystone. Under the guise of taking fun pictures on the mountain, Tristan had Kendra remove her skis and gloves and smile for the camera. On top of the mountain they'd been skiing together for 5 years, Tristan pulled a ring box out of his jacket pocket, got down on one knee and asked Kendra to marry him (FINALLY). Kendra screamed, cried, said yes, and had trouble skiing the rest of the day because she was so so excited. After much consideration they decided "why wait! Lets order the marriage license and get married now". Kendra said "But I still want a party so I can dance at my own wedding". They came to the agreement of "lets do both!". Tristan and Kendra signed their marriage licence at a park next to their new home on May 15th, 2025. Which brings us to now. Our reception full of partying and dancing exactly a year later, May 15th 2026.
