Our story goes back to before we were even born. Kendra's mother went to high school with Paul's mother and father. They were friends not realizing later in life their children would fall in love. Years later Kendra's mother ran into Paul's mother at Pleasant Prairie Elementary School one day realizing they had all moved to the same town after college to settle down and start their families. Though Paul and Kendra did not hangout throughout those years they only knew of each other. Things started to blossom later in life for them, as they went to different high schools that did not stop them from reconnecting. They had the same friend group which is when Paul took the initiative to add Kendra on social media after he had seen a picture of her with some of his friends. They both went onto college not realizing they had ended up at the same one until one day Kendra was doing a Public speaking event for a program she was in that Paul was joining. When Paul saw Kendra on stage he leaned over to a friend and said "see her right there, I am going to date her one day". He was in fact right... Paul reached out and from there the relationship took off.
Little back story.... Kendra had been waiting for this day for a couple months as though she had known Paul got a ring months ago along with her parents blessing. Now Kendra had no idea she was being proposed to this day because her family was leaving for vacation to their family farm that morning. Paul's father had asked Paul the morning of the engagement if he would like to come help him at work and this is how the conversation went... "no I have plans today"-Paul "what are your plans?"-Dad "I plan to bring home a fiance today"-Paul "nice!"-Dad. Paul did exactly what he said.... That morning they went to the Milwaukee zoo upon request from Kendra months prior. Then they proceeded to go on a walk later in the day to Lake Andrea's private bike path. It reminded Kendra of her family farm in New York that she was not able to go visit with her family that week. When they got to the pavilion Kendra sat down to just enjoy the fresh air and Paul proceeded to continue walking around the pavilion "looking for all the wasp nest". Paul got down on one knee behind Kendra and said "I have a question for you" Kendra turned around shocked and his question went on. After Paul finished talking the few words that Kendra was able to say were "are you serious" in an ecstatic way. Paul responded "yes, we aren't in a Mcdonalds drive through are we?". Then Kendra starting crying with surprise and excitement.. and now you know how the rest of the story went after that!
