We both met through a mutual friend at the time. Really didn't think anything of it. Time went on, and I was invited over the house for a bonfire. I was told, and I quote "a ton of my friends will be here, you should come join us for a fire". When I arrived, there was him and one other friend... for the entire night. So, there we were, hanging out, sharing stories and little did we know it was suddenly 1:30am. Not wanting to drive home, but also not wanting to stay over a boy's house I barely knew, I wasn't sure what to do. I will never regret my decision though. I decided to take the leap and spend the night. This story isn't going where most of your dirty minds are going. Luke offered like a gentleman to sleep on opposite floors of the house just to make me feel more comfortable. Also, for me to take his half bent (because it was folded into the back of a Volvo) twin size mattress that laid on the bare plywood floor. I decided that laying on separate mats on the floor in his room was just fine. We never slept that night though. We laughed, we cried, we reminisced, and we shared more and more stories about our lives. Then before we knew it the sun had risen, and we never looked back. Fast forward to a little over 6 years later, we could not imagine a better life together. We are each other's best friend, partner in crime, and forever person. Whether it's getting our daily Dunkin coffee, raising our four-legged kid, traveling, working on the house or just plain old hanging around, we wouldn't want it any other way. So, here's to forever!
