The couple officially met January 2017 at a mutual friends' kickback (S/O to Jasmine). Kendra lived in Hammond and Kelvin lived in NOLA. Jaz invited coworkers she knew from working at the Hammond Olive Garden location. She also invited coworkers she knew from working at the Kenner Olive Garden location. Little did they realize this was the THIRD encounter and the official START to Their Happily Ever After. They were both together at two separate parties a few years back in 2015 and didn't even realize it at the time. Finally they officially met in 2017. Kelvin was intrigued from the moment he saw Kendra walk through the door. He approached her and they hit it off immediately. He knew he couldn't let her leave without getting to know her more as they talked, laughed, and drank BEER all night. By the end of the night Kendra left the party on CLOUD 9! Feeling so euphoric from their connection, that she apparently gave him the WRONG PHONE NUMBER (another special S/O to the couples' best friends Thonie & Shak). From there it was countless drives back and forth to New Orleans and Hammond. The couple became inseparable as their connection grew stronger. In Oct 2017, they moved into their first apartment together. Later they welcomed their firstborn son (Kairo James) January 2021 and their second born son (Kendrixx) June 2022. To FINALLY engaged in October 10 2023.
