John's story: Through mutual friends or fate, Kendra and I met in the summer of '05. When I first saw her, Kendra was sitting under the stars next to her friend's pool. It was just the two of us and I wanted to talk to her but I was far too shy. Thankfully, she broke the ice by asking me who Patrick Murphy was. At first I was confused but I realized that she had been referencing a band t-shirt I was wearing, "Dropkick Murphys." We spent the night talking about everything and I was immediately enthralled by her beauty and spirit. I didn't believe in the idea of soulmates until I met Kendra. Now we get to spend our lives together, high school sweethearts and soulmates. Kendra's story: It was a riff-raff kind of evening. I was 15 and getting introduced to the splendors of social occasions. However, I was immensely nervous and reverted to my anti-social ways. I spied a young gentleman wearing an interesting shirt "Dropkick Murpheys". He looked quizzical. I amped myself up to gather the courage to talk to him. From that moment on, his thoughtful mind and genuine spirit never escaped my world. Instead of partaking in shenanigans, we simply looked at the stars. It's rare when you can find someone who can say they married their highschool sweetheart, but my dad can. And now, so can I. I love John, not just in the oooh and aweees kind of way, but because he makes me see the bigger picture. Since day one, he's inspired me to expand my view and learn something new. Even if it started with a t-shirt and some stars... Our story: The way we see it, our story was written in the stars. In the words of David Bowie, "I don't know where I'm going from here, but I promise it won't be boring."
