The year was 2021, Kendra wasn’t interested in a relationship but was up for a few fun dates. JC was in his 9th year in Seattle, he thought it was just another date. Neither one of them knew what hit ‘em. After a year together they were ready to take a big step forward and bought a home together, moving them both to Ballard in Seattle. It would be another year before JC would get on one knee!

In March 2024 JC joined Kendra in Germany on the backend of one of her work trips. The intention was a late birthday celebration for JC, or so Kendra thought. After a few days having fun on the autobahn they went to visit Heidelberg Castle. JC wanted to “take a picture”, and after he found just the right spot he proposed to Kendra with the castle in the background. For those who have seen the video he so slyly recorded you can hear Kendra’s excitement by saying yes with 4 little words… “It’s about fucking time!”.
