Kendra's best friend since kindergarten. Their friendship was immediate as they were the only 2 tall girls in kindergarten that year. Kira was a role model for Kendra growing up. As kids she was always so mature, intelligent, athletic, and thoughtful. They always supported each others athletic journeys, Kira's in hockey, and Kendra's in volleyball. They remained close even living far away in adulthood. Kira is a true best friend in every meaning of the word.

Cormac has been Fabio’s closest friend since the day he moved to Calgary. From elementary school and countless years playing hockey together, to moving to Victoria side by side and eventually returning home, they have shared every major chapter of life. Through the highs and the toughest moments, Cormac has been a constant presence, offering loyalty, support, and perspective. Having him stand as best man reflects a lifelong friendship built on trust, shared history, and unwavering support.

With the unique story of Fabio and Kendra being close friends for 7 years before dating, Kendra got the opportunity to form a friendship before the relationship of Fabio and Kendra turned romantic. Kendra and Maia bonded being the only girls on the "guys cabin trips" and bonded over their careers in sport and love of dogs.

Justin is Kendra’s brother and someone who has welcomed Fabio into the family with genuine warmth from the very beginning. He and Fabio share an easy rapport built on constant banter about sports and movies, and that back-and-forth has become one of the things Fabio enjoys most about their relationship. Justin brings a steady, lighthearted energy to every family moment.

Katy is more of a sister to Kendra than a cousin. Kendra and Katy grew up very close spending summers together in a small room, forced to workout childish differences. As adults, they got matching tattoos of their cabin community "tretheway" as a reminder of their shared memories and happy place. Katy has supported Kendra from afar and visited Kendra where volleyball has taken her, both in Syracuse and Cyprus. Katy is fiercely loyal and caring to her loved ones and has an admirable work ethic. Katy is very important to Kendra.

Nathan Hedrick

Nathan and Fabio met while working together in college and quickly became close friends through their shared interests and similar outlook on life. Nate is one of the most selfless and caring people Fabio knows, and he is someone Fabio relies on every day for honest advice and steady support. Their friendship has remained strong long after college and continues to mean a great deal to Fabio.

Tessa Hill

Kendra's childhood bestie from volleyball. Tessa and Kendra grew up playing volleyball both together and against eachother from when they were 11 and 12 respectively, until university. Tessa and Kendra have visted eachother on both of their journeys living overseas and have remained extremely close into busy adulthood. There is debate about who is taller and more competative.

Corbin is Fabio’s first true friend and one of the most enduring constants in his life. Even after Fabio moved to Calgary at seven years old, the two always found ways to stay connected, whether it was long-distance check-ins or summers spent together in Kelowna. Their friendship has grown and evolved through every stage of life, and it remains a meaningful bond that has truly stood the test of time.

Kendra and Tash have also played volleyball together since they were 11 and 12 respectively until Kendra's U17 year. The consistency of friendship and bond of sport blossomed a strong friendship between them that has been cherished into adulthood. Tash and Tessa flew to visit Kendra during her professional volleyball season in Cyrpus. If you will meet tash for the first time at the Busi wedding expect to see a beautiful girl who is bound to overshare at some point in the night.

Joel and Fabio met during their brief time at the University of Victoria and have stayed close ever since. They have shared countless kilometers on their bikes together, the kind of rides that create space for easy conversation and steady support. Joel is someone Fabio can lean on when it matters most, and that reliability has made their friendship truly meaningful.

Kendra and Kennedy grew up with family cabins streets apart. Spending summers together as kids in Windermere BC were filled with boat rides, candy shop bike rides, board games, and sleepovers. Teenage years were filled with late night fires, drinks, and laughs. Both growing up with older brothers, they were/are the sisters they never had.

Michal has been one of Fabio’s closest friends since junior high, and their friendship has been built through countless hours on bikes, skis, and whatever adventure came next. From growing up together to living side by side throughout university, they’ve shared a lifetime of unforgettable memories, inside jokes, and milestones.

Sara is a great longtime friend of both Kendra and Fabio. Kendra and sara met in seventh grade on the school volleyball team and remained close ever since. Entering high school, friend groups merged and Sara became an important person to Fabio as well. Sara is the most genuine and caring friend. Being married by someone so important in our lives will make the day extra special.
