Ben and Kendra first met at a high school dance when he was a Sophmore and she was a Freshman. (That was seven years ago!) Shortly after, they were in Biology class together where they spent more time flirting than learning. Ben asked Kendra on a first date on one of the snowiest days of the year, but got her home safely, and have trusted each other with their lives ever since. Well, mostly, although Kendra does a lot of the driving nowadays. Some of their favorite memories are bonfires, football games, and dances. They dreamed of a life with dogs, motorcycles, and happily ever after in the country with each other. Dreams really did come true for these small town high school sweethearts.

Ben and Kendra often go shooting together at a local range and at Ben's parents house. Ben told Kendra he was going to go shooting with his friend, Matt who happened to be home from college. He then asked Kendra to join them before she had to go into work. Since this was something they did often, it wasn't out of the ordinary. Little did Kendra know, Ben had made a huge target with "KENDRA WILL YOU MARRY ME?" written on it. When she got there, he asked her to help him with the target. Once he uncovered the target, he got down on one knee and Matt was ready with the camera to capture the whole thing. Kendra and Ben went home with a few less bullets that day, but really hit the bullseye and gained the best prize of all-a Fiance!
