We met at Alabama State University. Lainy was performing in Sophocles's Medea, starring in the titled role. During that production, Kenderick and Lainy made a connection as artists.

Answer

Our first date was in New York City. We attended the Broadway, Tony Nominated production of The Notebook. It was incredible! This production deepened our love for one another. We ended the evening overlooking Time Square while having dinner.
