Looking to get outdoors and into some fresh mountain air? Boulder is only 30 minutes away from Longmont, and provides one of the most iconic hikes in Colorado! With a few trail options, you can make this as long or as short as you would like. Just bring plenty of water! The trailhead parking lot fills up the later it gets, but there is ample paid parking all along the streets surrounding the parking lot.
Located just 50 minutes away from Longmont, you can visit one of the most treasured National Parks in the nation. Make sure to go to the Bear Lake parking lot and trailhead as that is the best access point for some of the most iconic hikes in the park. Weather conditions are always changing at the park, so please be prepared to bring enough layers, plenty of water and snacks. Stop in the town of Estes Park on your way back for some good food and beer!
Traveling with kids? Burn off some energy at this expansive park, complete with train-themed playground and tons of space for running around. This park also has tennis court and pickleball courts for anyone who travels with a racket. Be sure to check out the area for other parks, as there are tons to choose from!

Stop in at the Denver Wings Over The Rockies Air & Space Museum to check out both historic, modern and even fictional planes (make sure to try the flight simulator)! Park alongside Larimer Street in the River North District and walk around, making sure to head into all of the shops, breweries and restaurants. There is also an indoor putt-putt course called PuttShack if the weather isn't nice.
