Question

Where is the event?

Answer

The Wedding and Reception will both be held at Cape Horn Estate in the Columbia River Gorge. 81 Woodard Creek Rd, Stevenson, WA 98648

Question

Will there be a shuttle service?

Answer

We will be providing shuttle service to and from the ceremony. A limo will pick up guests at Carson Hot Springs outside of the entrance at 2:30 PM and 3:30 PM at Skamania Lodge outside of the main lobby. There will be lawn games and cocktails for those who arrive at the wedding venue prior to the ceremony. At the end of the night, shuttles will begin taking guests back to Skamania and Carson at 9:00 PM. For those who want to attend the after party at Bungalow Bar, shuttles will take the Bride and Groom and other guests to Bungalow Bar beginning at 10:15 PM and will remain at the bar until people are ready to leave for the evening. The shuttle will, then, make one final trip to Skamania and Carson Hot Springs.

Question

When is the wedding ceremony?

Answer

The Ceremony will be on October 2, 2021 at 4:00 PM with the reception immediately to follow on the same grounds.

Question

How do I get to and from the wedding venue?

Answer

If you are an out of town guest, we highly recommend renting a car to get around the area. We have, also, verified with the venue that Uber and Lyft are accessible to and from Cape Horn Estate. There will, also, be shuttle service to and from the venue from Skamania Lodge and Carson Hot Springs Resort.

Question

If we drive to Cape Horn Estate, where do we park?

Answer

The wedding venue has onsite parking for all guests! The parking lot is within 50 yards of the ceremony and reception spaces, so no need to worry about walking a long distance from your car!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We ask that all attendees wear cocktail attire (i.e. cocktail dresses, Little Black Dresses, dressy jumpsuit or dress pants and suit jacket). The ceremony is on grass, so please be mindful of this in case you want wear your heels! Also, note that October 2 in the Pacific Northwest will likely be around 70 degrees but can get chilly at night, so please bring a coat for the evening if you get cold easily!

Question

Are children allowed?

Answer

While we LOVE your babes, this is a kid free event unless specifically named. We hope you enjoy your night off, and we cannot wait to spend as much time with you as possible!

Question

Should I wear a mask?

Answer

*UPDATE: We anticipate the state of Washington to follow Oregon's lead and impose a mandate requiring all people to wear a mask (regardless of vaccination status) outdoors when you cannot stand six feet apart. Tables and chairs during the ceremony and reception will be spaced out, but we ask that guests be prepared to wear a mask at all times unless actively eating and drinking. Masks and hand sanitizer will be provided at the welcome table, by the bar and buffet, as well as outside of the restrooms. Please ask a server or bartender for a mask if you cannot find one. While we understand that wearing a mask is not anyone's favorite activity, the Bride and Groom will be fined if a guest does not abide by this rule, so please be respectful, and let us know if you can no longer attend.

Question

Should I get a COVID test prior to the wedding?

Answer

We asks that all guests do their best to refrain from large group activities and being un masked indoors with others outside of their immediate family at least 10 days leading up to the wedding. Additionally, we strongly encourage taking a COVID test three days prior to October 2nd. The bride and groom are collecting take home COVID tests to share with guests if you cannot find or afford a rapid test appointment. Please contact Kendall at 503-260-3818 if you have any questions. Several guests attending the wedding are older or immunocompromised, so we sincerely appreciate your help in making this a safe event for all.
