We want to thank all of you for taking the time to travel across the world to celebrate with us! We understand traveling to a small island in another country can seem daunting. We recommend flying into Athens, Greece, and then taking a ferry ride to Sifnos. We will outline all of the details below:

Passport

Don't forget your passport! Please double-check to ensure that your passport does not expire in 2026. It can take up to 3 months for a new passport to arrive, so please plan accordingly.

Flight

Athens International Airport (AIA)

The bride and groom will be arriving in Athens on May 3rd and encourage everyone to come early to enjoy Greece for themselves! If your flight arrives later in the day, we recommend staying overnight in Athens and catching the ferry to the islands the following morning. This makes for a much more relaxed start to your trip and gives you the chance to explore a bit of Athens before heading to the wedding festivities.

Ferry

We recommend purchasing your ferry tickets through Seajets using the link below titled "view". Once you arrive in Athens it will take around 45 minutes to get to the Piraeus ferry port. You can get to the port several ways including: the metro, uber, or calling ahead to pre-book a taxi/private transfer using Welcome Pickups.

Unfortunately, in Sifnos, Uber does not exist. While they do have taxis, they can run around €30 per trip (the bride and groom recommend scheduling one ahead of time for the night of the wedding if you plan to stay out late with them). The linked car rental company below is likely the more affordable option for transportation in Sifnos. The good news is... it only takes approximately 30 minutes to get from one side of the island of Sifnos to the other!

Where to Stay

The bride and groom will be staying in an Airbnb in the northern part of Sifnos known as Cherronisos. If you are wanting to stay in an area with lots of shops, restaurants, bars, and clubs, we recommend staying in the city, Apollonia. The church and venue are located in Platis Gialos. Please feel free to stay wherever you would like on the island, as it is small and a safe place to drive! There are several luxury hotels and Airbnbs to choose from with a simple google search, although Airbnb seems to have more cost-effective options. For guests looking for an elevated/luxury hotel stay we recommend: NOS Hotel & Villas, Verina Astra, Apsila Pool Suites, Nival Boutique Hotel, Sifnos House Rooms & Spa, and Enalion Suites. For guests looking for comfort, style, and better prices we recommend: Selena Suites, Margado Hotel, Petali Village Hotel, Studios Mirtia. For hotels super close to the venue we recommend: Fos Collection, Niriedes Suites, Sifnos Hotel Benaki, and Studios Margarita.
