Just 1 mile from the venue you’re in one of the most beautiful places - Paddle, pedal or kayak.. there are many ways to explore Eklutna Lake. This long lake (featuring more than 15 miles of shoreline) is fed by Eklutna Glacier. We will have kayaks for use at the venue & there are rentals available at the lake in the summer.
Approx 15 minutes from the venue - The one-mile trail to Thunderbird Falls traverses a beautiful birch forest along the Eklutna River canyon to reach a deck with views of a 200-foot waterfall
Only 6 minutes from the venue - a 2.5 mile trail leads you to a scenic vantage point 1,800 feet up with views that overlook Eklutna lake. It also offers more trails off its upper end.
