The romantic answer is that we love Spain and wanted to throw an intimate vacation for our closest friends and family :) The less romantic answer is that Lake Como is incrediblyyyyy hard to get to, so we found a town equally as beautiful with direct flights from all major US cities.
This is 100% up to you! If you're taking a red-eye (most US to EN flights are), you may want to consider flying Wednesday evening so you have a day to rest and adjust before festivities kick off on Friday (think spending a day/night in Barcelona before, etc.). Sunday's activities are entirely optional, so depart at your leisure. Remember, Monday is Memorial Day, so hopefully you have some buffer to enjoy a bit more of Europe before heading back to the states!
The weather in May is warm and pleasant with average high temperatures around 70°F and average lows of 55°F. Sitges is relatively dry and sunny this time of year (knock on wood), so bring your sunscreen. It can get chilly at night, so we suggest packing a scarf or light jacket.
YES! Our entire wedding day, including the ceremony, dinner and dancing will be outside in the estate's grassy yard. The venue is sunny, but offers plenty of shade under large palm trees and tented covers. It could get chilly at night, so we suggest checking the weather to ensure you dress appropriately!
Kendall-approved ChatGPT answer: Garden formal attire strikes a balance between elegant and comfortable, with an emphasis on looking polished while still being appropriate for an outdoor Spring setting. Ladies should consider midi-to-maxi length dresses in bright colors / patterns. Men, the handsome groom and his gents will be wearing tuxedos, so your attire can range from a tux to a suit with or without a tie. If this is still ambiguous, feel free to reach out for clarification!
We have coordinated with a local transportation company to provide sprinter vans to hold up to 20 people each. The vans will pick up from a central location in Sitges, near the hotels provided in our travel section. The bus schedule will be provided at a later date, but rest assured we will have a variety of pre-wedding pick up times, and post-reception departure times so you can party as long or short as your heart desires.
YES. While we strongly suggest taking advantage of the provided transportation, there is a small parking area if you choose to drive.
