We know most of you probably already know our story, but we love it too much not to share! We’re high school sweethearts. Kendall was a junior, Javi a sophomore, introduced by one of his groomsmen, Matt Azzouz, who Kendall sat next to in math class. Matt proudly calls himself the ultimate matchmaker to our marriage, and honestly… he wasn’t wrong! Javi asked Kendall on a date to an iconic spot: Chipotle. She was so nervous she turned it into a “group hangout” with Matt and another friend. Somehow it worked! On the next date, Kendall had to drive Javi to, yep, Chipotle again, he didn’t have his license yet! And yes, there’s also the fact that Kendall’s mom, who worked as a secretary at our school, heard the gossip that we were talking and immediately looked up Javi’s grades in the system, much to Kendall’s embarrassment. Luckily, he was a good student! Growing up together has been something truly special. Over the past nine years, we’ve shared grief and loss, celebrated graduations and new jobs, moved in together, and even traveled to the other edge of the world. We’ve grown into different people, yet our love has only deepened through every step. Today, our favorite date nights are simple: Tuesday night discount movies at the theater, a tradition we never miss. We can’t imagine life without each other. Crecer juntos ha sido algo realmente especial. En los últimos nueve años, hemos compartido momentos de tristeza y pérdida, celebrado graduaciones y nuevos trabajos, nos hemos mudado juntos, e incluso hemos viajado al otro lado del mundo. Hemos crecido como personas distintas, pero nuestro amor solo se ha profundizado con cada paso. Hoy, nuestras citas favoritas son simples: películas con descuento los martes en el cine, una tradición que nunca dejamos pasar. No podemos imaginar la vida el uno sin el otro. Somos mejores amigos primero, y todavía completamente enamorados.
