Our love began in the Fall of 2019 over a night of drinks and laughs - Curtis is more than just his good looks. That love fully blossomed thanks to a year of margs - heavy on the tequila, dancing in the kitchen like fools - courtesy of the margs, and watching the sunset in each others arms. Living and working together in our one bedroom apartment wasn't enough for us, so we got our little puppy, Jojo! She's helped us grow closer through nights of "Who's gonna wake up with the dog?" and "What's in your mouth?!" and we wouldn't trade it for anything. In May of 2021 we put our relationship to the ultimate test... ROAD TRIP! After enduring 60 hours and 4.5K miles together and still being able to look at each other, it was obvious that our love could last any drive and only appropriate to get engaged in the beautiful Bryce Canyon. We're so excited for this next chapter in our love story and happy you're a part of it!
We wanted to meet up with Curtis's family out in California for their annual camping trip, but we also wanted them to meet our dog Jojo so it was time to hit the road. Early in the year we worked on mapping out the whole thing, pet friendly hotels, how long each leg of the trip would be, and where we would stop along the way. The whole trip would be about 60 hours and 4500 miles round trip over 10 days. The first night we stayed in North Platt, Nebraska. Everything was running smoothly until Curtis came back from Walmart with some celebratory drinks, only to be locked out of the hotel room with Kendall and Jojo still inside! We could not open the door from the outside or the inside and after many desperate attempts, management called the locksmith who had to climb up a ladder to the second story, cut out the screen and barrel roll through the window all while Kendall and Jojo are trying to keep it cool in the bathroom and out of his way. So we finally got the door open and needless to say, they put us in a different room for the night and comped our stay. The next morning we headed to Denver to meet Kendall's sister, Ashlie, for lunch. After lunch, the highway through the Rockies was closed, so Curtis had to navigate up and down the mountains, through the snow, foot on the brake the whole time until he successfully delivered us through the mountains and onto Utah that night. The third morning was the final leg until we would reach California! We decided to stop in Bryce Canyon, Utah about an hour into the trip that morning. The scenery was absolutely beautiful! Kendall was busy taking pictures of the views, Curtis and Jojo. Then it was her turn. She was posing with Jojo, looked out over the canyon and then turned back around to see Curtis down on one knee!! We were both shaking so much with nerves and excitement that Kendall almost dropped the ring off the canyon, but other than that it was the most perfect moment that we could have asked for!
